Dubai, UAE, November xx, 2025 –Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), the global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable building solutions, today announced its participation at HVACR World 2025, taking place from 24 to 27 November 2025 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) at Stand No - Z5 A61, Za'abeel Hall 5.

This is the first event in the MEASA region dedicated exclusively to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR), and will bring together industry leaders to explore the latest innovations shaping the sector.

“Johnson Controls is proud to be part of the inaugural HVACR World, where innovation and sustainability converge to reshape the future of our industry,” said Devrim Tekeli, vice president & general manager, MEA, Johnson Controls. Through our advanced portfolio, high-efficiency chillers and variable speed drives to digital platforms, we empower our customers to reduce emissions, enhance efficiency, and advance their sustainability goals with confidence in a changing climate.”

Cooling: The Region’s Defining Challenge

The Middle East and North Africa face some of the fastest-growing electricity demands in the world, with the International Energy Agency (2025) projecting a 50% increase in demand by 2035, driven primarily by cooling which is already the single largest driver of peak electricity demand, accounting for nearly half of regional peaks today.

Regional studies further confirm that that cooling loads represent a major share of total power demand across the Gulf (Ahmed et al., 2024) underscoring the importance of adopting high-efficiency technologies and sustainable cooling strategies. Yet, the average cooling systems operating in MENA remain significantly less efficient than those in advanced markets such as Japan,a gap that, if addressed, could cut peak demand growth by 35 GW by 2035, equivalent to Iraq’s entire current power capacity (IEA, 2025).
